The Eurojyvä publication compares agricultural structures in European countries. The data in the publication are collected by means of the farm structure survey, which is conducted in all EU and EEA countries every two to three years. The Eurojyvä publication focuses on facts obtained from the farm structure survey of year 2003. Additionally, the publication presents time series based on structure surveys prior to 2003. The publication also includes statistical data on the new member states which joined EU on May 1st, 2004.

The agricultural structure of and structural changes in Finland and other EU countries are illustrated by statistical tables, graphs, time series and analyses. Topics discussed are, among others, number of farms and livestock, use of agricultural area, labour force and secondary business activities.
